This policy sets out what may not be designed, uploaded, scheduled or displayed on a screen through the platform, and what may not be done with the platform itself.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every account: advertisers, screen owners, venue operators, designers hired through the platform, and creators publishing templates. It covers content on your screens as well as content you upload to the platform.
2. Content that is never allowed
- Anything unlawful where the screen is located, or that promotes unlawful activity.
- Content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that attacks a person or group.
- Sexually explicit content, or content that sexualises minors in any way.
- Content promoting tobacco, vaping, recreational drugs, or unlicensed gambling where those are restricted.
- Weapons, ammunition, or instructions for making them.
- Content designed to deceive: fake endorsements, impersonation of a person or brand, fabricated reviews, or misleading pricing.
- Medical, health or financial claims that cannot be substantiated.
- Content targeting children with age-restricted products or services.
- Malware, phishing, or anything that harvests data from a viewer.
3. Public screens carry extra weight
A screen in a shop window, a waiting room or a restaurant is seen by people who did not choose to see it, and often by children. Content that is borderline on a phone is not acceptable on a public screen. If you would not put it on a poster in the venue's window, it does not belong on their screen.
4. Rights and permissions
- Only upload content you created, licensed or otherwise have the right to use.
- Hold a release for any identifiable person who appears in your content.
- Do not use another brand's logo, name or trade dress in a way that suggests a partnership or endorsement that does not exist.
- Respect the licence attached to any template you use.
5. Using the platform
You must not:
- Attempt to access accounts, screens or data that are not yours.
- Probe, scan or disrupt the platform or the screens it drives.
- Bypass pricing, booking checks, approval steps, or a venue owner's excluded categories.
- Automate bookings, listings or enrollments to gain an unfair advantage or to distort a screen's availability.
- Resell or sub-let platform access or screen space without written agreement.
6. Honest listings and honest reporting
- Listing details must describe the screen that is actually there.
- Footfall figures must be your own honest estimate, clearly understood as an estimate.
- Do not interfere with play logging, uptime measurement, or proof-of-play records.
7. Live streaming
- Only broadcast content you have the right to broadcast.
- Do not broadcast other people's channels, events or performances without permission.
- Do not broadcast from a screen you do not own, or from a screen enrolled in revenue share on a day you have not reserved.
8. Enforcement
- Content may be removed, and a booking or listing paused, while a report is reviewed.
- An account may be suspended or closed for a serious or repeated breach.
- Amounts paid for content that is removed for breaching this policy are not refunded.
- Serious breaches may be reported to law enforcement.
9. Reporting
Report content or behaviour that breaches this policy from the Help Center, or write to legal@tvbillboard.app. Copyright complaints follow the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
